About the New Testament Challenge
The NT Challenge is about taking the time as a church to read through the New Testament in its entirety in 2010. Each Sunday, the message will follow along with the reading schedule and be about something you have either just read, or will read in the coming week. If you don’t have a Bible, stop by the office and we will give you one!
The most common reasons people don’t read the Bible
1. They don’t have time
2. They don’t understand it
Here is where the NT Challenge comes in:
1. To read through the New Testament in a year requires reading 5 chapters per week. That’s 1 chapter per day, Monday through Friday, and no scheduled readings on the weekends. That is about 5 minutes per day, only 5 days per week
2. We recognize that sometimes we come across things in the Bible that are confusing or sound strange, and we’d like the opportunity to explain as many of those things as possible. In addition to Sunday’s messages which will track along with the reading schedule, we have set up an email address you can use to ask about those things which you have questions about, and will publish the answers to those questions here on this page. To ask a question, use the link to the right to go back to the New Testament Challenge page.
